Oracle HCM
Core HR, payroll and talent on Oracle Cloud, with the parallel runs to prove payroll is right.
What is it?
Oracle Cloud HCM covering core HR, absence, payroll and talent. Payroll is unforgiving: it has to be exactly right on a fixed date, for everyone. The method reflects that, with parallel running until results reconcile.
Payroll is the component with no tolerance for approximation: it runs on a fixed date, for every employee, and an error is immediately visible and often legally significant. The implementation method reflects that with parallel runs continuing until every variance between legacy and new payroll is explained, not merely small. Elsewhere, the critical design work is enterprise structures and security — legal employers, business units, and the role-based access model that determines who can see whose records.

Business problems we solve
Our delivery approach
- 01Map the real policiesIncluding the local variations and historical agreements that live in people's heads rather than the handbook.
- 02Build payroll against live dataConfigured and tested with real employee records under appropriate controls, not synthetic samples.
- 03Parallel run until cleanNew and old payroll run side by side for multiple cycles. Every variance is explained before cutover is even discussed.
- 04Prepare managers and employeesSelf-service only reduces HR load if people can actually use it. Enablement is planned, not assumed.

Questions we get asked.
How many parallel payroll runs do we need?
As many as it takes for every variance to be explained, not a fixed number. Treating it as a count rather than a quality gate is how payroll problems reach employees.
Can we phase the modules?
Yes, and usually you should. Core HR first, then payroll, then talent is a common sequence that keeps each phase's risk contained.
What about our existing time system?
It can be integrated. Replacing it is a separate decision that does not need to be bundled into the HCM programme.
How is employee data protected?
Through the security role model, which is designed deliberately rather than inherited from defaults. Who can see what is an explicit design output.
